Aliah volunteers as a Book Buddy.

What do you do as a volunteer at BPL?
As a volunteer at BPL, I help with different programs that happen at the library.

What do you like best about volunteering at BPL?
What I like best about volunteering at BPL is being able to interact with other people and seeing how people act.

What advice would you give other volunteers?
The advice I would give to other volunteers is “Have fun. Even if you are getting paid, don’t think of this as a job. Think of this as an experience.”

What is a typical day like for you as a Book Buddy?
A typical day for me is helping with a program that is happening on that particular day. I usually help with a gaming program, an arts and crafts program, and I even helped with a Hunger Games program.

What is one of your favorite books?
One of my favorite books is The Giver by Lois Lowry. I love this book because of the wonderful way it was written and how the author made it full of suspense and thought-provoking.

Thank you, Aliah!
